中央以「一人一案」方式列管八仙塵爆傷者家屬需求，同時派出社工駐點關懷，不僅健保署研擬放寬健保給付，行政院也提出公務員有薪照顧假。然而，政府釋出的善意服務，對不諳制度的民眾來說太過艱深，加上礙於「唐美娜效應」，家屬也都選擇噤聲不敢提出建議。

19歲塵爆傷者林郁庭，全身45％燒燙傷面積，目前仍在台北醫學大學附設醫院加護病房觀察。針對政府釋出的善意服務，林郁庭的父親歐正琪說，起初市府發了手冊和專線電話，請有疑惑家屬自行詢問，但對市府釋出的資訊仍感「迷惘」。

但他也讚許，「社工駐點」堪稱是塵爆後市府「最有感的服務」，社工還會透過電話詢問需求，正當夫妻為了奔波北市醫院和宜蘭蘇澳住處煩惱時，社工安排住宿點，並聯絡公司協助請假。

不願具名的塵爆傷者家屬透露，「唐美娜事件」造成寒蟬效應，對於市府作為，家屬不敢多言，唯恐成為眾矢之的。

新北市府表示，自6月29日發起勸募成立愛心專戶，由「八仙粉塵氣爆案捐贈專款管理委員會」的各方代表委員決議善款使用。截至7月24日中午11時，總捐款15萬971筆，共14億862萬5344元，已發放生活照顧費7890萬元及800萬元喪葬補助金。

至於委員會決議通過將發放補貼勞工的「陪伴照顧費」，目前尚未發放。社會局表示，經評估有需要者，每人發放3萬tutorabc 台中學英語2000元，預計發放400餘人、1200餘萬元，最快29日起發放。
